Belle Isle Library

The Belle Isle Library renovation and addition transformed this 1960’s library to a 32,000 square-foot space that will continue to meet the needs of community.

"ADG Blatt’s design philosophy for the library was to honor the original design of Jack Mills in every way we could, while enhancing those features that make the building so iconic." - Steven Matthews

The $7 million+ renovation provides a myriad of space and amenities including a flexible meeting room that seats up to 200, a maker space, study rooms and 120 parking spaces. The intercut design of Belle Isle Library features iconic mid-century modern shades of green, teal and orange. Additionally, clean lines and geometric shapes in conjunction with organic wood features provide a light, welcoming atmosphere.
