MAPS FOR KIDS
maps FOR KIDS
MAPS for Kids was a $700 million community-wide program that funded improvements at Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) and 23 suburban school districts, funded through a temporary one-cent sales tax. Acting as program consultant, the ADG Blatt team performed facilities assessments and established policies to see that projects were planned, designed and constructed on time and within budget.
Virtually every project involved construction taking place during the school year, resulting in the need to develop detailed and stringent phasing and safety plans for the protection of students, staff and the community. Approximately 100 projects at 75 school sites have been completed, benefiting every school in the Oklahoma City Public Schools. Projects ranged from a new $30 million high schools to elementary school renovations and additions.
