In November 2001, Oklahoma City voters approved a combination sales tax/bond issue raising $695 million to improve Oklahoma City area schools. The program, called MAPS for Kids, has generated $540 million to improve school buildings and infrastructure. Acting as program consultant, the ADG Blatt team performed facilities assessments and established policies to see that projects were planned, designed and constructed on time and on budget.

Virtually every project involved construction taking place during the school year, resulting in the need to develop detailed and stringent phasing and safety plans for the protection of students, staff and the community. Approximately 100 projects have been completed, benefiting every school in the district, 75 school sites. Projects ranged from new $30 million high schools, to elementary school renovations and additions.
