The Oklahoman: Oklahoma Christian School breaks ground for new elementary

 

EDMOND — Oklahoma Christian School recently celebrated the groundbreaking of its new 72,000-square-foot elementary building, which is scheduled to open in August 2021.

“This is a major milestone in the history of OCS,” said Al King, headmaster. Last year, Oklahoma Christian School signed an agreement with Life.Church to sell its two, aging elementary buildings, allowing the school to begin a campaign to fund a completely new elementary building on land next to the high school.

The architect on the project is Architectural Design Groups (ADG) and Timberlake Construction. Oklahoma Christian School’s enrollment is over 1,000 students, and about 500 students will occupy the new building when it opens in fall 2021, a news release stated.

“This the most ambitious capital campaign in OCS history,” King said. “We are grateful for the generosity of those that have made this possible.
