OKC Philharmonic Front entry - Ribbon cutting, 2026

OKC Philharmonic Office

The Oklahoma City Philharmonic recently completed the transformation of a historic downtown property into its new administrative home, creating a workspace that reflects both the organization’s mission and the character of the building itself. As architect and interior designer, ADG Blatt centered the design around themes of music, rhythm, and movement, using architectural elements to evoke the energy and flow of a musical performance.

Original glass-block windows flood the reception area with natural light, while exposed brick and industrial details celebrate the building’s historic character. Suspended overhead, a series of graceful wood ceiling forms sweep through the space, drawing visitors naturally from the lobby into offices and collaborative meeting areas beyond. Throughout the renovation, flowing organic shapes are paired with linear industrial elements, creating a dynamic balance between the historic structure of the original constructuion and the flowing expression found in orchestral music itself.

The result is an adaptive reuse project where architecture, history, and artistry come together to create a workplace that feels both rooted and contemporary. A fitting home for one of Oklahoma City’s most celebrated cultural institutions.
