This children’s care facility is not only a day care, but a safe place for children with special needs to grow, learn, and thrive. However, it’s +400-child waiting list is a testament to the fact it can only help a small portion of the Oklahoma City children who to would benefit from attending. To expand its capacity, Special Care is partnering with ADG Blatt, as well as Quad Construccion and the American Way, to add a new addition onto the original structure. Exterior design and brickwork will seamlessly blend with the existing structure. Inside, the old rooms will get a refresh so that they match the open, well-lit design of the new construction. There will also be a multicolored outdoor path and wheelchair accessible garden and play area.

Ground breaking began 07.22.2025 with a very exited crowd including the mayor of Oklahoma City, donors, parents and children. The energy and excitement were palpable as those who were part of Special Care celebrated this new chapter to it’s story.
