Managing game-Changing projects for a big-league city
MAPS 3 was an $801 million capital improvements program in Oklahoma City that used a one-cent, limited-term sales tax to pay for debt-free projects. ADG Blatt served as the lead consultant supporting the overall program, providing Owner’s Representative and Program Management services. MAPS 3 was designed to sustain the momentum Oklahoma City had gained since the initial MAPS programs were implemented.
The program consultant contract was based on the MAPS 3 scope of work over a ten-year span. ADG Blatt assisted with Programming, Planning, Design Review and Construction Oversight. As program consultant, ADG Blatt helped oversee the design and construction for each of the eight projects. The eight MAPS 3 projects included the Oklahoma City Convention Center, a modern streetcar system, the 70-acre Scissortail Park, Oklahoma River improvements, Oklahoma State Fairgrounds improvements, four senior health and wellness centers, trails, and sidewalks.
The ADG Blatt-led team worked with nationally acclaimed consultants for transit, park and community buildings, convention and event specialists and cost estimators. They utilized the local public relations firm Gooden Group, as an integral part of ADG Blatt’s team for public outreach, social media and strategic communications.
